Who We Are
IEPguard is an online advocacy group with the simple mission of offering parents an affordable option when it comes to Special Education Advocacy. Traditional advocates and legal counsel often cost $100 per hour or more - resulting in thousands of dollars in fees. With IEPguard, you pay a fraction of this through an affordable, one-time payment plan. Our goal is to provide parents with a strong voice in their child's educational planning as well as gain peace-of-mind by being able to access our services throughout the entire school year. Think of IEPguard like an insurance agency for special needs advocacy. We will be there to provide guidance, unlimited IEP (and other documents) analysis as well as consultation as needed. We may also in certain instances provide virtual/phone advocacy during your child's meetings when necessary.
Further, IEPguard aims to empower parents and show you how to ask the right questions and become more confident in your ability to act in your child's interest. We know that IEPs can sometimes be a daunting and confusing process - this is where we can help you. Once you order through us, we take you through a simple process from developing a comprehensive background inquiry to securely uploading your child's IEP to providing in-depth action plans for procuring the services your child deserves. Our team of professional special educators/administrators will analyze your child's IEP and return it within 24-72 hours complete with detailed notes as well as suggested questions to ask at your child's meeting. We then conduct post-meeting consultations and guide you through follow-up actions.
Our team of experienced Special Education professionals consist of mostly retired or former Special Education teachers/administrators. Our founder - Kevin Manning - has over 20 years of experience in Special Education as a former teacher of students in Emotional, Inclusion and Life Skills Support as well as having served as a Principal at a School for the Deaf. Kevin himself had an IEP growing up (Hard-of-hearing/deaf) as a student in schools for the deaf as well as mainstream environments. He is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania and Temple University and is passionate when it comes to helping students attain the services they need and deserve.
We currently provide language support in Spanish and ASL.
If you have you have any questions regarding our process, please feel free to reach out to us at info@iepguard.com and we will be happy to assist you in any way we can!

*There are times when it is necessary to procure traditional advocacy or legal counsel in order to best attain the services your child needs. In these instances we will always recommend that you pursue traditional advocacy or legal counsel rather than IEPguard. Children who present with higher needs/challenges are better served with traditional, in-person advocacy or legal counsel and we will do our best to help guide you in finding those services in your area.
